Dancing with the devil
Dancing with you, as waves collide,
Every step, a rhythm, a truth amplified.
If only you knew, all I’ve ever desired,
Was your heart with mine, endlessly inspired.
Everything—just you, just me, just us.
A dream too vast to name, yet too fragile to trust.
What are we now, after all these years?
After all this time, through doubts and tears?
Is there still a thread that ties us tight,
Or just the memory of love’s fleeting light?
You left your soul, raw and bare, in my embrace,
Only to wear a mask, a foreign face.
But, my love, I’ve always known your truth
Through the cracks, through the pain of youth.
I’ve loved it fiercely, through every fall,
Every piece of you,I’ve cherished it all.
