Mirrors

Mirrors we face, a fleeting glance,
Eyes locked in an endless dance.
I turned away, too scared to see,
The beauty waiting inside of me.

A tragedy blooms in the mirror’s glow,
Loving only the you it dares to show.
But dawn will come, and hearts will find,
The love for self that once was blind.

Mirrors we gaze in, eyes locked tight,
Shy away quick—what a sorrowful sight.
To see a reflection, just you in the frame,
Loving each glance, yet hiding the shame.

Oh, what a tragedy it must have been,
To fear the beauty your mirror has seen.
Each fleeting look, a story untold,
Of a heart too weary, too timid, too cold.

But when the day dawns, soft and true,
The mirrors will teach a lesson to you.
To love your raw self, with all its might,
For only through you can your world feel right.
